Mae West, a relatively new jam/rock band in Clemson, enjoyed its first live show at Griffin’s at the beginning of July. It was not your average first gig. Instead of a half-filled room, Griffin’s was packed inside and out with nearly 400 people. The police were even called in to disperse the crowd in the street outside. That’s not so bad for a first gig, said lead guitarist Hudson Thompson.
