Mrs. Sara Ann Rahe of Anderson, SC, announces the engagement of her daughter Rachael Berry Gillis to Robert Vernon Hudson III. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Michael B. Gillis. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Gillis of Raleigh, NC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Wright Jr. of Anderson. The groom-elect is the son of Caroline Babb Hudson of Blythewood, SC and Robert Vernon Hudson, Jr. of Columbia, SC. He is the grandson of Mrs. "Boots" Babb and the late Mr. Marvin Babb of Roanoke, Va and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vernon Hudson Sr. of Columbia. An October 5, 2008 wedding is planned.
