IVA, SC - Sandi Michelle Hall and Joshua Chad McClain were married August 16, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Iva with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating. A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn Crystal Ballroom in Anderson. The bride is the daughter of Ms. Mary Joy Vaughter and the late Mr. Charles Wendell Hall, Jr of Abbeville, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Charles Wendell Hall, Sr. and the late Sara P. Hall of Abbeville, SC and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Young of Iva. The groom is the son of Mrs. Teresa Newell McClain and Mr. Joshua Douglas McClain, Jr of Level Land, SC. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Telford Newell of Abbeville, and Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Douglas McClain, Sr. of Level Land. Maid of Honor was Courtney Hall, sister of the bride. Matrons of Honor were Monica Isbell, sister of the groom and Ruth Burdette, friend of the bride. Best Man was Joshua Douglas McClain, father of the groom. The bride is the owner of Sugar Boutique in Greenwood and the groom is employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Iva. After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, the couple will reside in Abbeville.
