He is the son of Joseph and Mackenzie Zappitella of Anderson, SC. He is the grandson of Doug and Cindy Zappitella and Jeff and Kim Cowart. He is the great-grandson of Anne Stansell, Frank Zappitella, Ted and Rose Whitney, Ed and Lenora Treadway, Beverly Duvall and James and Louann Knott.
