246 yards in a season-opening victory over Southside Christian Friday night.
The Sabres jumped out to a 7-0 lead and the score held up until halftime, but Dixie rallied over the final 24 minutes, scoring in the third frame and adding a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to overtake the visitors.
Jamaury Norman had a big night for the victors, running for 141 yards on 26 carries.
Mario Washington rolled up 89 yards on 10 totes and added two touchdowns, while Jamal Byers scored the third TD for the Hornets.
The defensive unit also came up big in the victory, as Chris Foster and Justin Latham each had two interceptions. For the game the Sabres (0-1) were victimized by five interceptions and a fumble, which was recovered by Sammy Evans.
