Anderson University graduate and Erskine theological seminary student Minister Yvonne Galloway will be the Women’s Day speaker at Royal Baptist Church at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.
Yvonne Galloway is the eldest of four children born to E.T. and Barbara Harris of Pendleton. She has been married to Mr. Samuel Galloway for 22 years, and to their union was given two children: Tamara and Kelsey.
Galloway graduated from Pendleton High School. She received her B.A. in human services and resources from Anderson University and is pursuing a master’s degree from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West.
She is employed by the State of South Carolina working for Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties as a counselor/case worker for adults. She is born again; a Sunday school teacher for more than 20 years; a member of the Family Ministry Auxiliary, Wednesday Night Bible teacher and the praise team within her local church. She is a Bible teacher for women and men who are recovering from multiple addictions and homelessness through an Anderson County facility. Galloway is a board member of the African American Leadership Council (AALC) under the umbrella of United Way; a board of directors member of Impact for Anderson/Oconee County; and a proud student of the Word of God under the leading of the Holy Spirit and Ms. M. Cole of Anderson County/ Precept Ministries.
Galloway is a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Anderson, where the pastor is Charles E. Rogers. She was licensed to preach the Gospel in August 1997 by Pastor Rogers in conjunction with the prayers and blessings of the church.
