Prostitution arrests reported in Anderson

STORY TOOLS

— During the first of six arrests for prostitution this week in Anderson County, a videotape could prove incriminating for a 38-year-old Anderson woman, who is accused of soliciting sex from an undercover officer.

Tammy Allen of Raymond Avenue was charged with a second count of soliciting prostitution after her arrest about 5 p.m. Tuesday at R and Glenn streets in Anderson, according to the incident report.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest was made after sex acts were offered for money to an undercover officer during a conversation, which was recorded and witnessed.

Wednesday, deputies arrested three women and two men and charged each with prostitution.

According to records at the Anderson County Detention Center, deputies charged Vickie Brantley, 47, of 405 Susan St. in Anderson, Misty Lynne Craft, 35, of Taylors, Crystal Johnson, 22, and Joe Geer, 46, both of 1608 S. McDuffie St. and Ohpie William Lawrence Jr., 42, of 200 Dixon St. in Westminster.
