ANDERSON A guilty plea related to the stabbing of a man in the head was accepted Thursday in Anderson Municipal Court from a 42-year-old Anderson woman.
Nancy Clemons, who pleaded guilty to assault and battery for the Aug. 23 incident on Dickens Avenue, was ordered to pay a fine of $1,092.50 or spend 30 days in jail.
Police said 40-year-old Rodney Thompson suffered a cut on his head from Clemons when Thompson made a comment to his girlfriend “about being thick,” according to Officer Greg Williamson’s report.
Thompson said Thursday that Clemons pulled out a knife, and, “I had not said a word to her.”
But Thompson said in court that “he told his girlfriend that she had gained a little weight.”
Although Clemons pleaded guilty to the assault, she said she had not stabbed anyone intentionally.
“I had no intentions of cutting anybody,” she said.

Oh please! She pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the head!
Why is she only charged with Assault and Battery? She used a weapon so doesn't that make it Aggravated Assault ? or Assault with a Deadly Weapon?
Sounds like Municipal Court should've transferred this case to General Sessions Court instead of giving her a $1,092 fine.
If she's unstable enough to stab the guy over a comment about her weight, then it won't take much for her to stab him again (or someone else).
She pulled a knife and did not intend on stabbing someone?
I wouldn't pull my firearm from the holster unless I was gonna use it.
I too do not understand the charges. What about assault and battery with a deadly weapon or something in that nature.
