I am a 12-year old Boy Scout from Troop 97. I am writing to you from Camp Daniel Boone near Canton, N.C., for my Communications Merit Badge. I have read your paper and think you have a well-written paper.
Sincerely,
Michael Wilson Magaha
P.S. Happy Fourth of July

I am a Boy Scout and I am not a very good speller, so sorry.
I am working on my Communications Merit Badge. I am from Anderson, and I am at Camp Daniel Boone summer camp. I am working up to my Eagle. I am now Second Class. I am working on five new merit badges at camp and they are: First Aid, Space, Citizenship of the World, Citizenship of the Nation and Communications.
For the Communications Merit Badge I have to read the newspaper five days in a row, so I will be reading your newspaper.
Your friend,
John Gautsch

Good luck on the merit badges!
Michael keep working hard on your Merit Badges and don't stop until you obtain Eagle. It will help you the rest of your life. Boy Scout Camp is always a lot of fun, every boy should experience it.
