M.L. Tanner has received the National Environmental Health Associations (NEHA) Sabbatical Exchange award.
Tanner is an environmental health manager for the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. She has been with the department for more than eight years.
NEHA awards two sabbaticals per year. Tanner will focus her sabbatical on children’s heath and safety in the home as well as recent alterations made to farms following outbreaks of foot and mouth disease and mad cow disease.
Following her study, Tanner will present a report to the NEHA on her experiences and findings.
