ANDERSON COUNTY A rape investigation has been launched in Anderson County after a man told deputies that he found an unconscious woman in his home on Shockley Ferry Road.
According to the incident report, the woman appears to have sexually assaulted about 2 a.m. Saturday. The 38-year-old resident is not considered a suspect, deputies said.
Deputies, who were unable to wake the woman, called for medical help, the report states.
Upon awakening, the woman told them that “she did not know where she was or what had happened,” Deputy R. N. Holbrooks said in the report. Deputies are searching for two men, the report states.
No additional details were made available.
