Belton man's nose intact after alleged encounter with sword

STORY TOOLS

— After drinking and participating in karaoke, an intoxicated Belton man said he was walking home when a woman in a car swung a sword that sliced his nose.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Steven Crumly, 36, suffered a cut to the “left side of his nose” as he walked about 2 a.m. Saturday along Brown Road near his home.

Crumly told deputies that he left his house after arguing with his parents, went for a walk on Brown Road and saw a small car approach, meeting him “head-on.”

A woman “reportedly leaned out of the window and struck him in the head with a sword,” Deputy R.D. Smith said in the report.

I wonder if he got into a confrontation with his parents and they defended themselves against him. This story is another one that is kinda strange.

What I really find disturbing is how AIM always puts out these sensational stories, with very little facts to corroborate their sensationalism and then you never read any follow up or hear anymore about it. Poor journalism, to say the least.

What? This story just doesn't make sense. We need better reporting.
