A Starr man died early Wednesday morning as the result of injuries that he suffered when his motorcycle crashed on Agnew Road Sunday evening.
Lyndon Holbrooks, 46, was traveling west on Agnew Road when his motorcycle ran off the road and collided with a fence of the roadway around 6 p.m., according to officials. After the collision Holbrooks was ejected from the motorcycle, said Lance Cpl. Scott Edgeworth of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Holbrooks was flown from the accident scene on Sunday to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Once there, he underwent multiple surgeries, Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said.
But Holbrooks died at 12:14 a.m. on Wednesday from multiple-system trauma, Shore said. Holbrooks lived on Bowie Farm Road in Starr.
Holbrooks’ family members could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.
