Anderson County Legislative Delegation schedules meeting for June 24

Appointments will be made to various boards and commissions

Rep. Brian White, R-Anderson and chairman of the Anderson County Legislative Delegation, has called a meeting to be held at 6 p.m. on June 24 in the Anderson City Council Chambers at the Anderson City Hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to make appointments of various boards and commissions and to receive budgets from the Anderson County Board of Education, Anderson County Alternative School, Anderson County Fire Commission and the Career and Technology Center in Williamston.

Appointments will be made to Anderson County Fire Protection Commission, Anderson County Forestry Board, Anderson County Registration and Elections Commission, Anderson County Social Services Board, Hammond Water District, Sandy Springs Water District, Starr-Iva Water and Sewer District, Tri-County Technical College, West Anderson Water District and the Pendleton District Historical, Recreational and Tourism Commission.

Anyone interested in a position on any of the boards or commissions should call the delegation office for an application, at 260-4025. Applications must be returned to the delegation office by June 16.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
