Producers of "Strawberry Soda," a new independent film set to shoot in Greenwood, SC this summer, is asking males and females ages 8 to 80 to an open casting call on Sunday, June 8.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8, Carmichael Casting will hold auditions for anyone who has weekends free for the next three months and willing to work for credits on this new film. The casting call will take place at the Holiday Inn Express, 110 Birchtree Dr. in Greenwood. All talent are asked to bring two headshots or photos with resumes and contact information with them. All those under 18 years of age must bring a parent with them.
"Strawberry Soda" is the story of a group of four kids who meet at an old country store belonging to a righteous, old black man. The store owner, Rubin James, sees one of those boys without a drink and gives him one. This act of kindness returns 20 years later in ways no one could have imagined.
