Katherine Cason was recognized by Epsilon Sigma Phi with a 2008 national award for mid-career service. Cason is a Clemson University extension food safety and nutrition state program leader and professor. She received the award for her leadership to the nutrition and food safety programs in South Carolina.
Cason serves as state program leader for the Food Safety and Nutrition Program Team as well as coordinator for Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, a position she has held for more than 16 years.
Epsilon Sigma Phi is a national not-for-profit educational and charitable organization of extension professionals.
