STORY TOOLS

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Alternative Energy Forum in Myrtle Beach on Oct. 8 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Clemson University bio-energy researcher Terry Walker will be among the forum’s featured speakers. Approximately 20 energy-related exhibitors will display products and educational information. The forum will address the pros and cons of various forms of power generation.

Walker’s research focuses on bioprocessing, the application of engineering design and technologies to create a wide range of biological based products, including alternative fuels, medicines and industrial raw materials. He will be one of eight featured speakers at the event.

The forum is free and open to the public. For more information or to register for the event visit myrtlebeachareachamber.com.
