Training will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., November 3, 6, 10, 13, and 17. The volunteer training includes a free, comprehensive study of sexual assault; legal and medical issues surrounding sexual assault; emergency response in handling 24-hour crisis calls; crisis victim advocacy at the hospital after a crime has been committed; and an overview of the Foothills Sexual Trauma Center.

The Sexual Trauma Center is part of the Foothills Alliance, a nonprofit agency dedicated to preventing sexual assault. Those interested should call Rose Morrison or Cristel Byrne at (864) 231-7273 before Oct. 24 to complete an interview. Volunteers must attend all five classes.
