LAST WEEK’S BEST

Co-Offense — Wren sophomore quarterback Austin McCaskill and Abbeville junior fullback Dureal Elmore. McCaskill was 24-for-43 passing for 316 yards and 5 TDs. Elmore rushed 24 times for 321 yards and 4 TDs.

Defense — T.L. Hanna senior cornerback Shulvaustin Boyd had five tackles, one assist, and two interceptions.

Lineman — Pendleton senior defensive lineman Harold Robinson led the Bulldogs’ defensive effort that held Seneca to 14 points, including a first-half shutout.

Coach — Pendleton’s Paul Sutherland held his team together following the sudden passing of freshman Avery Robinson. The Bulldogs then beat Seneca 16-14.

ANDERSON AREA TOUCHDOWN CLUB PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

This week’s speaker is former Citadel, Furman and East Carolina coach Art Baker. All meetings begin at noon on Fridays at the Anderson County Library.

Offense — Wren senior receiver D.J. Brown set a school-record with 11 catches for 145 yards and 3 TDs.

Defense — Shulvaustin Boyd

Lineman — Harold Robinson

Coach — T.L. Hanna’s Kenya Fouch
