It’s too bad, really. Bailey Hanks deserved better. The article, “Living a dream, living LIFE,” according to the opening paragraph, was to be about a granddaughter. I don’t know of a grandfather who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to tell others about his granddaughter. But to get to Bailey, we were required to endure the religious indoctrination of secular humanism.
Two persons could have prevented this. The author could have remained on the subject given him by the editor and the editor could have seen this for what it was and asked for an edited version. On numerous occasions the tenets of secular humanism have been made clear by the author, incorporating his disdain for anyone who would dare believe the Bible which rejects his philosophy. Possibly one difference in the two belief systems is that if secular humanists are right and Bible believers are wrong, then, in the end, Bible believers lose nothing. However, if in the end, the Bible is true and secular humanism is wrong, secular humanists lose everything.
Bailey, you just deserved better.

Excellent comments Mr. Robinson. This is another glaring example of how the folks of the Anderson Independent Mail have lost touch with the community.
It is no wonder their readership has fallen so much.
The author of the article was Baily's grandfather....athiest Michael Deanhardt who was asked by AIM to write the story.
Same old same old...
Too bad Baily Hanks is going to get bad name now because of it.
I'm suuuuure AIM didn't think about that though.......
Who is Baily Hanks???????????
The tirade by UseCommonSense is expected. Even the Bible states that there is no God. Read Psalm 14:1.
To UCS:
You continue to boldly assert that there is no God, but you refuse to present one iota of evidence.
You casually refer to evolution as though it were a fact of science, when in reality it violates every known law of science.
You freely dish out ridicule and insults, while hiding behind a nonsensical pseudonym.
Your favorite expression seems to be "weak-minded". More than 50 years ago, one of my elementary school teachers said, "If you point a finger at someone, three are pointing back at you." It makes me wonder who is really weak-minded.
Really, now, wouldn't it be better to deal in facts, or at least reasonable opinions rather than vituperative tirades?
I have made this offer before. Give me one undeniable, irrefutable, scientifically verifiable proof of evolution and I will renounce my Christianity and join the ranks of atheism.
You cannot get functional complexity from disorder by chance. Material reality demands the existence of a supernatural power.
Sincerely,
Frank Morgan
How can anyone look around and see all of the beauty that God has created, and not believe. What God created, not what Man has mutilated and destroyed. All of God's children that have suffered in his name will be rewarded beyond our comprehension when we leave this proving ground.

Mr. Morgan,
It looks as if you are the one that needs to do more research! Evolution DOES NOT "break" a single law of science! As far as it being a fact of science it is very well established that the scientific community accepts evolution and it IS the BASIS for all of Biological study and research! Without evolution the study of biology would not be possible.
You ask for one verifiable proof of evolution, here you go. Research MRSA (Micacillian Resistant Staphylococcus Aurea). I care not whether you worship a god, gods, or rocks! Just stop throwing your god around and please do not throw the rocks!

Psalms 14:1 states in part:
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God"
The BIBLE doesn't say there is no God, it is saying the FOOL said there is no God.
Just goes to show how people take things in the Bible out of context to fit their own agenda.
To HC:
I find it amazing - almost amusing - that proponents of the religion of atheism resort to ridicule, insults, intimidation and name-calling, and think it's perfectly acceptable. But if a Christian Creationist challenges their position, we are accused of throwing rocks! Is there a slight double standard here?
The MRSA is, in fact, a staphylococcus. Its progenitor was a staphylococcus. Its progeny will be staphylococci. It never was and never will be anything else. This is not proof of evolution. It is variation at the same level of complexity.
The laws of science (DNA, etc.) prohibit getting something from nothing, life from non-life, complex from simple, humans from apes, etc. Evolution has never been observed, and notwithstanding the claims of famous atheistic scientists, it is scientifically impossible. And, yes, biology makes even more sense without the confusion introduced by evolutionary beliefs.
Sincerely,
Frank Morgan

I heard you were looking for Scratch. I found him.

Where did I call you names?
Where did I ridicule you?
Where did I attempt intimidation?
Where did I insult you?
So, you do not see differentiation, mutation, survival of bacteria that are resistant to certain medicines, or CHANGE OVER TIME! You see none of these things?
If simple can not lead to complex then tell me how ALL organisms begin as to simple cells and become complex organisms!
NO scientist has ever claimed that humans came from apes. That sir is nothing other than a boldfaced lie that your group has tried to propagate and use.
To H_C:
When you accused me of throwing rocks, I took that to mean you agreed with UCS's personal attacks. If I misunderstood you, I sincerely apologize.
I agree that many changes have occurred in organisms over time, but bacteria remain bacteria, dogs remain dogs, and people remain people. There are no examples of organisms crossing phyletic boundaries. The DNA of an organism dictates how "simple" or "complex" it will become. But no living creature in really "simple".
Please check out "Nebraska Man", "Piltdown Man", "Java Man", "Peking Man", Homo Erectus, Homo Habilis, etc. These have been proposed for years by evolutionary scientists as transitional forms between apes and humans. They really do claim that humans evolved from apes.
Sincerely,
Frank Morgan
