Hopefully this will begin to bring closure to another debacle in Chicago politics.

Whoops. I meant to say Anderson politics.

Oh well...the effect is the same. Graft, corruption and taxpayer paid scams to benefit the powerful.

Can be spelled two ways..also "indigenous"....

Both mean NATIVE.

You're the most naive Yankee in the county to believe a fraction of what you said.

Fortunately most voters in the County are indigenes and intelligent and will vote an overwhelming "no" to another increase in taxes that would further the increasing debt for the victim property owners in Anderson County.

Obviously Cordez owns property along the construction route.

Can't say I blame him either. Greed works, especially in Anderson.

On Vote 'yes' on sales tax

Posted on October 29 at 9:43 p.m.

Geesh...we all certainly strayed-away from the original point of discussion.

The majority County Council under the hypnosis of the Grand Home Rule Wizard cannot account for the taxes collected by previously established means.

Now that those millions have disappeared w/o accounting they need to find addt'l millions beyond the new property appraisals, beyond the $10 million bond, beyond the $2.5 million bond to do what the original taxed dollars were meant for.

To vote to bail-out the County with this addt'l one cent tax is the same as bailing-out Wall Street executives so that they may receive their huge reward for bankrupting the system.

Pretending to be smart should hurt more.

Great write-up.

May I submit your name as a write-in candidate next week?

Seriously...a well written argument against unbridled and irresponsible spending.

"The Power of the Penny"

This kind of thinking that a 17% increase in sales tax is "just a penny" assumes the public has little to no intellegence.

AIM supporting the huge tax increase coupled with the already $10M bond, another $2.5M bond, the huge increases in valuation and the horrific financial management of the County makes one wonder what service to the populace does AIM intend its message?

On Power of a penny: Not all projects will appeal to individual, but community as a whole will benefit
