Oh and from what I see what you're missing in the editorials section is this:

<!--new threaded comments-->

<div id="comment_doormat">

<div class="ourhouse">

<h1>Comments</h1>

<p id="count_prompt">

This article and a few others that allow posting have this. It seems to be the gateway. Without that there are no comments.

Thankful editorial is like this:

On Anderson County Council votes to release Preston from his contract for $1.14 million

That's a touchy issue. This is a privately owned free site. I guess it's in their right to block what they want. It does bother me that they would, but it's up to them. What I think they're seeing is this........

They opened a can of worms that they can't control when they started allowing comments. They didn't think there would be this kind of conversation on here. I mean this topic alone has roughly 120 comments alone. That's a lot of reading for someone to do.

I also think that they may be tired of seeing their editors and writers getting slammed for what they write. And in my opinion they should be more detailed in their writing. I read an article in the Williamston Journal about the buyout and it was explained in DETAIL that the issue was brought up for reconsideration by the majority and cannot be discussed again because of that. AIM simply stated the issues were reconsidered. That doesn't tell the whole story. A lot of people would not know that the issue is dead because the majority reconsidered it right then and there. I didn't.

Lastly...the constant bickering on here. There's a boatload of it! (And I'm just as guilty as anybody.) I'd be willing to bet that 40-45 percent of the comments are bickering comments. That's a lot of he said she said "stuff" to read through.

Hopefully they continue to allow us to comment, but if not...it's been a fun ride.

I'd respond to that, but I'd be banned since I'm under the watchful eye right now. So you get a free pass. Enjoy it!

Dude....lighten up! I was poking fun at the situation no more! If all you have to do is sit in front of your computer and worry that there is some sort of conspiracy going on concerning people posting on AIM, then you really need to get a life!

I was being sarcastic. I have no idea what AIM is doing with all of this and really could care less. All I know is I'm on probation for a little creative wording I did in the comments of a Clemson article.

Welcome to Anderson, SC where you will believe what you are told and like it. There will be no discussion of what you are told and if you are found to be discussing it you will be censored at the earliest possible moment. Continued discussion after you have been censored will result in reeducation.

Lastly......there will be no negative talk about King Joey and the 4 wise men and 1 wise lady on the County Council that support the King. That will result in you being erased.

Happy Thanksgiving and ......have a nice day.

Most of you seem to miss the point of what was wanted. Sure I wanted Joey gone. He's a crook and has been a crook for years. But I did not want his sorry butt paid to leave. I wanted him forced to leave in shame. That would have happened had it not been for the 5 bobbleheads on the council. They cost the hardworking people of this county $1.14 million and that's not right! You don't pay the crook to leave. Ah but I forgot....they're crooks too. So I guess all of Tuesday's actions fall under the "honor among thieves" idea. Well.....I say find something on one of them and start applying pressure. They'll talk. And before it's over the truth will be known to all.

And to any of you that think this is fair and equitable.... Please post your info on here and I will gladly let you pay my share of this. Because I think we got ripped off. And really don't feel I should have to pay one red cent to that thieving you know what!!!!!!!!!
