We can argue about the definition of a meeting all day.It all depends on the source of the definition such as websters,wikipedia,etc.I wish ALL the council incumbents had been voted out.they're ALL corrupt & guilty of using their positions for personal gain as well as meeting/communicating to discuss county business.The straw that broke my back was when Mr.Wilson presented an agenda that he acted as if no one knew about.Which was far from the truth.Again, Mr. Greer acknowledges that a few of the council members knew about the agenda.The entire problem is this. No one will man up & admit any wrong doing.Instead the guilty
keep wasting tax money to cover up the mess & looking for loop holes to avoid accountibilty.

Since last week when Larry Greer admits he communicated with other members of the council via phone,email,etc.
regarding where the money would come from to pay Mr.Preston & who would replace Mr.Preston.During the council meeting Mr. Wilson acted liked he was going out on a limb & put forth the severance package on the agenda with out any other council members knowledge of it.According to Mr.Greer's confession, some members of the council knew about the agenda before the council meeting began. Communication between 2 or more members of council
to discuss county business is a meeting.

When comments & rumors begin in our plants & dept stores of closings & lay offs.Can the employees file for unemployment benefits on the grounds of "anticipated unemployed" before actually being laid off? Mr. Preston did, and was awarded a spectacular severance package.The council elect hasn't taken office.Therefore, he was awarded the severance on the grounds of termination that hasn't even happened!

Although there were public statements made by members of the council elect regarding terminating Mr.Preston.The termination hasn't happened yet because the council elect
hasn't officially taken office.Mr.
Preston signed up & was granted
generous unemployment benefits before officially being terminated.I'm sure all the folks that have been laid from "average joe" jobs wish they were allowed to sign up & receive unemployment benefits weeks before the lay off occured.

Larry Greer admits to contacing other council members last week regarding the issue.They communicated via phone,email,...etc to draw up a game plan.But, they never met.That's exlpoiting a loop hole.Larry Greer spilled the beans to AIM.Now Mr. Wilson is a proven liar & four council members are complete fools.Larry Greer & his big mouth..lol

if in fact during the council meeting was the 1st time that ANY council members had heard of the proposal.
how in the world did the council determine where the money that is to be paid to Mr.Preston would come from & who would replace Mr.Preston within a couple of hours ? the councils decision just leaves more questions to be answered.everyone has questions, no one has answers.i have a character that lurks my home, my family calls it
"Mr.Nobody".when something happens & no one confesses."Mr.Nobody" gets the blame.

I am a fan of Dabo Swinney.He's taken the "bad news bears" of football & turned them into a good team.His team has unity & look as if they have a purpose on the field other than fulfilling their scholarship obligations.This is coming from a life long Carolina fan.Great job Coach Swinney!!
